About the Artist
Leonie’s journey with painting began almost 20 years ago, during a season marked by an unhealthy relationship but also the tender joy of raising her young children. In the quiet moments she discovered the feel of a brush in her hand, the way color could carry her away, how paint could transform silence into serenity. What began as escape became devotion.
Through every chapter of her life she has returned to the canvas. Even as she built a career in nursing, walking daily alongside others in both suffering and healing, painting remained her refuge. It was a place where battles could soften, where resilience could take form, where beauty could rise even in the midst of hardship.
Her art reflects this journey: romantic, emotional, and alive. Each piece holds both ache and wonder, discipline and magic. Brushstrokes become confessions of survival, whispers of peace, and celebrations of joy.
For Leonie, painting is more than a dream. It is the thread that has carried her through, proof that creativity endures as long as hope remains. And in every work she offers the same invitation: to feel deeply, to see beauty where it is least expected, and to remember that we are still here, still creating.
